Great news! WCB will hold its second open hive at the club apiary in Newfane on Saturday, July 18 at 1 pm.
We will inspect one of the hives at the club apiary and discuss varroa mite management. We’ll find the queen and mark her, then use an alcohol wash to sample for mites. Depending on what we find, we will discuss next steps and treatment.
Due to COVID-19, we are limiting the number of attendees. We are also requiring everybody to wear masks and practice social distancing. Please do not attend if you are sick.
